Experiments and modeling of pedestrian traffic
A one-year postdoc position is available, starting between January and September 2010. Applications will be considered until the position is filled

It takes place in the frame of an ANR project entitled: "Pedestrian groups : emergence of collective behavior through experiments, modeling and simulation".
This is a 3-year project (2009-2011) supported by the french Research National Agency.

Job description :
- Analysis of the data obtained from the experiments performed in May 2009 and February 2010. Participation to the design of the experiments.
- Elaboration of a microscopic model for pedestrian traffic, derived from the experimental results; simulation, analysis of the model, comparison with the experimental results. The candidate could also be involved in the micro-macro derivation.

Skills in simulations and modeling are required.
